Olympic National Park
One of the most ecologically diverse parks in the country, the Olympic National Park features a varied topography that includes beaches, mountains and rain forests. Between Hurricane Ridge and Kalaloch Lodge, this park also boasts some of the West Coast’s most stunning views.
Crater Lake National Park
Created in the aftermath of Mount Mazama’s eruption thousands of years ago, Crater Lake National Park is the deepest lake in the country. In addition to over 100 miles of trails, a thriving ecosystem has developed around the lake as well, with pine trees, hemlock, and wildflowers surrounding the water. Wildlife such as eagles, deer, and black bears also call the area home.
Mount Rainer National Park
Perhaps the most iconic image of the Washington skyline, Mount Rainier is one of the largest volcanoes in the world. It is also the highest peak in the Cascade mountain range, measuring nearly three miles from base to pinnacle. Besides the mountain, park visitors can also take in views of glaciers and other sights.
